About us

The Foundation,Youth Education Sport (Y.E.S.) in the U.S. and Grupo de Apoyo Ray Thomas (G.A.R.T.) in Mexico, was initially established in 1989 by a group of American softball umpires who wanted to share their passion for sports with Baja's children. The group was met with overwhelming support as people of all ages and backgrounds from the U.S. and Mexico joined forces in order to provide sports programs and equipment to deserving children.

After twenty two years of work in communities throughout the Baja, the foundation is proud to now include school breakfast programs, community graffiti clean-ups and a special needs facility, to compliment their sports programs.

in 2011 we just started the ¨ADOPT A SCHOOL¨ program designated to offer the hotels in CABO AREAS, the opportunity to sponsor a poor colony school with: BREAKFAST, ANTI - GRAFFITI, SPORT & HOW TO TREAT A PET PROGRAMS, making this school as adopted, with their hotel logo includded, participating in all events they do & all volunteer work programed for their colony.

we count on state government & D.I.F. system in most of our programs in the state of Baja California Sur. In La Paz, New Mayor offered us to run a New Slow Pitch Softball program starting in september 2011, with 6 colonies with a co-ed system.
